Desarrollo de una camisa casi perfecta

Development of an almost perfect shirt

Since the beginning of this exciting adventure, our primary objective has been to improve the quality of life of pilots, offering a new perspective of improvement to products that, unfortunately, have become obsolete due to lack of attention from manufacturers or lack of knowledge of our work.

Like me, many of our colleagues are tired of hearing phrases like: " this shirt is for work, so it should be loose ", " the fabric is good, you just need to wash it a few times " or " it's normal for it to wrinkle, after all, it's cotton ". These comments reflect a complete lack of interest in improving the situation.

That's why we've got down to work on our first product: the pilot's shirt .

From the beginning, we set out to create a shirt that was not only comfortable, but also perfectly adapted to the rider's body - a rather complicated task in the world of fashion, even though it may seem otherwise.

During a year and a half of intensive work on the development of this shirt, we have visited countless textile factories, clothing workshops and fashion and textile fairs. Finally, we have reached a point where we have found the perfect product for our flights.

Parts of the long process:

  • Fabric (one of the most, if not the most, important): after looking at fabrics of all types and shapes, from cotton, blends, polyester, etc., we came to the conclusion that we needed a technical fabric, made exclusively for us with the specifications we asked for (similar to sportswear, but not in appearance), that has the best qualities, as we discussed in this blog about fabric .
  • Tailoring workshop : After searching in several countries, we selected one of the best workshops specialized in shirt making, where clothes are made for some of today's best brands.
  • Design : the second most important and most stressful part. With one of the best designers in the country, coming from several top companies in the market, we designed the shirt from scratch. Made in a 3D program, in which we have been introducing changes until we got to what we have today. To give you an idea of what it has been like, it has taken several months of development and more than 50 changes to the initial prototype of the shirt. I can assure you that everything has been thought out.

  • Price : As bad as it may sound, the price at which we can offer the shirts is a key issue, we no longer believe that a pilot is willing to spend a lot of his money on a shirt for work, so we have achieved a high quality product, with lower margins for us to solve the problem of real shirts, since there is no point in a top shirt at a high price that not every aviator wants or can afford.

All this has been possible thanks to the team we have, the professionals who work with us and our friends who have always lent us a hand.

We hope you like it.

The crew of Remove After Flights wishes you happy flights!
